Lifebank Nigeria, a blood bank startup wins $250,000 from Jack Ma

Lifebank Nigeria, a blood bank startup has won the first prize as the Jack Ma Foundation hosted its first annual Africa Netpreneur Prize Initiative grand finale, awarding $1 million to 10 entrepreneurs from across Africa.

Nearly 10,000 entrepreneurs applied for the the awesome prize of $250,000 each for 10 successful entrepreneurs. The event grand finale took place in Accra, Ghana.

The award which was received by the founder and CEO of Lifebank Nigeria, Temie Giwa-Tubosun has been the talk of success in this past week.

“LifeBank will reach every patient through leveraging technology. We have just started delivery of medical supplies via drones says Temie.

One of the reasons Jack Ma visited Africa is to attend the the inaugural annual event where he will be presenting award to the winners.

Lifebank is a health startup that provides logistics for blood components, oxygen components and medical supplies to hospitals in Nigeria.
