Ex-Konga Chief, Sim Shagaya edtech startup uLesson raises $3.1 Million

Popularly known as the king of exit, Sim Shagaya’s edtech startup uLesson raised $3.1 Million in seed round funding.

The funding championed by the Lagos, Nairobi, and London based venture capital, TLCom announced the funding through its Twitter handle.

uLesson was founded in March 2019 in the quest to make learning more individual-oriented using technology.

uLesson will achieve these through video tutorials and classes and a more way of interactive evaluation using smartphones.

The fund will be used to address infrastructure and learning gaps in Africa’s education sector, says the uLesson.

Part of the seed funding is the coming onboard of TLCom partners Ido Sum and Omobola Johnson with their wealth of experience to scale the startup.

The former CEO of Konga, Shola Adekoya will also join the team.
